Tioga area shoppers found deals up to 80 percent off in the final days leading to the closure of the local Shopko Hometown store.
Brenda Garcia, of Stanley, happily showed off her receipt following a visit to the store, having obtained big savings on her purchases.
All final liquidation sales were Saturday, June 30, with the company Gordon Brothers Group in charge of liquidating all inventory at the store by 6 p.m.
Area residents shopping on Friday seemed unaware of the cause of the closure and expressed hope a new store might open in that location in the future.
