Youth from Zion Lutheran Church and Tioga Assembly of God served up a piping hot meal Friday night for their annual Valentine’s Day Banquet.
“Every year the youth group has put on a Valentine’s banquet,” said Rev. Richard Carr. “In the past, sometimes it has been a fund raiser for other ministries, such as Feed My Starving Children, other years have just been for raising money for the group itself.”
“This year, we’re going to use it a lot for trips,” said Rev. Daryn Pederson. “It’s pretty expensive for kids to go. We can help offset travel expenses and help with other local activities.”
Around 40 people attended this year’s banquet that featured herb-crusted pork tenderloin with all of the fixing, along with black-tie moose cake, homemade by Madelyn Carr. Salad and refreshments were also served.
