Small retail spaces are the focus of the Tioga Economic Development Corporation’s new proposal for the six and a half empty Main Street lots it owns.
The timetable for a so-called microretail development depends on finding interested retailers, who would have relatively low upfront costs to help them open their stores.
It’s a project that Tioga Economic Development Director Dennis Lindahl is spearheading.
He said the inspiration came from a conversation with Don Cardon of Phoenix-based Cardon Development Group, which Williston has hired to redevelop the site of its current airport once it has relocated to a new facility currently under construction.
