Mad scientists hold monthly double features to thank farmer for rescue

Imagine for a moment you were locked in an old nuclear missile silo. What would you do with your time, and how would you thank the person who rescued you from your cavern in the ground?


Hess employees Ben Badon and Brior Lecompte did just that, creating new personas for themselves and bringing the Friday night double-feature movie tradition back to  Tioga.


“One night we were talking while making concessions,” said Badon, “and we thought, ‘Man wouldn’t it be cool just to play movies?’”


“Originally it was an idea to have a date night for adults or fun thing for kids to do,” Lecompte said. “It progressed from that to having double features -- one for kids, and one for the older crowd.”
