Exactly one month after a school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., left 17 dead and many injured, students all over the country participated in a walkout Wednesday last week for 17 minutes in memory of the those who were killed.
At Tioga High School, Freshman Jordun Sutton was one of eight students who participated in the walkout.
“People shouldn’t have to come to school and be scared,” Jordun said.
Reed Krueger added, “School’s a place where you want to be safe. You want to get your education and be safe.”
