Auxiliary helps Fargo VA feel like home

Members of Tioga’s American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 139 are helping veterans at Fargo’s Veterans Administration Center feel a little closer to home, making a donation of towels and quilts to the center’s hospital and long-term care facility.


“We can take care of some of their needs,” said Chapter President Jan Herfindahl. “Some are homeless, some are without families.”


Herfindahl said the state president for the Auxiliary sent out a call to chapters around North Dakota to help the VA Center with a new expansion at the long term care facility.
