Straight-line winds and hail are to blame for damage in last Thursday’s weather event, according to meteorologists at the National Weather Service in Bismarck.
These weather events, known as microbursts, carry heavy rains, hail and intense winds -- up to 100 miles per hour -- equivalent of an EF-1 tornado.
Gabi Wigness had a front row seat for the show.
She was working at the Crosby Country Club when the storm hit, around 4:30 p.m.
