The stage has been set for over a week, but the planning for the first major celebration held in Crosby since 2004 has been ongoing since November 2015.
“This is the week we find out how many things we never thought of,” joked Cecile Wehrman, steering committee chair for the 2017 Celebration -- “100 Years and Building.”
The celebration kicks off with early registration Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Crosby Community Center. Registration continues all day Friday.
Already last week, the Crosby Park Board staff was working on getting the main arena of the community center ready to host a full evening of entertainment on Saturday. The evening will conclude with a semi-professional fireworks show.
